North Pacific Garbage Patch

The pacific garbage patch is a place in the pacific ocean where there be a lot of garbage, ironically. About 3 tons of garbage scattered in the P.G.P, about 10 kg of garbage per square kilometer. Fishes are dying because of all that garbage polluting the water the swim in and because they are eating it. I really like fish and it’s bad to see them die just because people are to lazy to properly dispose of their garbage. This is a decent sized issue, if nobody does anything about it, eventually it will start to pile up and soon all the fish will be dead and the ocean will be a garbage dump. That is really gross and I doubt anyone wants that. But people must start caring and stop littering in the ocean making matters worse. Also the garbage has an effect on the terrain and area of the ocean. The beautiful ocean floor filled with coral and other sea decorations is wrecked by garbage build up on and around it making it look like a really big trash bin. Seriously, people are killing fish and the area by throwing trash in it. That’s not cool at all what-so-ever. If people don’t act now and do something about it, then the ocean will be no more one day. A really good site for more info is here. The P.G.P is very large too, about the size of the state, Texas.
